
Scott Dodson
President/CEO
Scott’s 30 years leading blue chip, mid cap and venture backed companies in global markets provides the
experience necessary to propel Compression Works to commercial success. Always attracted to technology that
made a difference in the lives of patients, Scott spent his early career at Boston Scientific and helped grow the
company from a $40M privately held organization to a $2B publicly traded medical powerhouse during his tenure. To
broaden his base, he spent the next several years leading the Global Orthopedic Unit of Orthofix International with
operations in the United States and Europe where he helped accelerate the growth and profitability of the division.
For the last 12 years Scott has led three venture backed medical companies and has raised over $200M in private
and public funding while taking one of his company’s public. Scaling and building organizations are his
trademark and make him well suited for his role here at Compression Works.

Dr. John Croushorn
Co-Founder / Chief Medical Officer
Dr. John Croushorn is a residency-trained, board certified emergency medicine physician and
Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is the founder and Chief Medical
Officer of Compression Works, LLC. Dr. Croushorn is the inventor of the Abdominal Aortic and
Junctional Tourniquet. He has served as the President of the Alabama Chapter of the American
College of Emergency Physicians and also holds a faculty appointment with the Emergency
Medicine Residency Program at Georgia Health Sciences University. He has served as command
surgeon of Task Force 185, Army Combat Aviation, in Iraq in 2004. He served as a lead military
physician in Mississippi during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He has served with US Army special
operations as well as Department of Justice Operational Medicine.

David Karabinos
VP, Corporate Development
David is a seasoned executive and board director building teams, business units and companies
that provides Compression Works with the experience and knowledge to scale the company.
David has been a technology executive, and an entrepreneur/operator for more than 40 years
launching companies, raising equity & debt capital and achieving successful exits. He has
served as the CEO, COO, CFO or CIO for 5 startups he launched since 1999. For the last two
decades he has been an Angel investor and a LP in three Venture Funds. David has served on 17
for-profit and non-profit boards over the last 30 years. David has extensive knowledge and
experience in: Technology, Healthcare, Financial Services, Fintech, Manufacturing, Energy,
Technology and Outsourcing Industries.

Callee Newhouse
Controller
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Michigan and Colorado. As a Fractional Financial Advisor, Callee works with several C-Suite teams as a controller or CFO. Callee is a results driven leader who will not stop until the objectives are met. Callee has a background in franchise accounting with companies like Quiznos and Smashburger but more recently began working with small businesses and entrepreneurs to implement corporate level accounting practices at the earliest possible stage of the business life cycle. With Several years of tax firm experience Callee brings a varied set of skills to the organization and has worked with the Profit Matters and Compression Works teams to develop Internal controls, monthly financial reporting calls, and coordination with tax teams over the last year.

Dr. Richard Schwartz
Co-Founder Clinical Advisor
Dr. Richard Schwartz is currently Professor and Chairman of the Department of Emergency
Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. A 1989 graduate of Wayne State
University School of Medicine. He was the recipient of a scholarship from the US Army Health
Profession Scholarship program and attended Army Airborne training as a 3rd year medical
student. He completed a transitional internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. Upon
internship graduation he trained as an Army Flight Surgeon and immediately deployed to
Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). During this
deployment he developed innovative methods to provide blood products to far forward deployed
forces. He is also a medical device innovator and has developed a novel junctional tourniquet and
a unique video airway management system, and he currently holds fourteen patents.

SCOTT GARRETT
Chief Operating Officer
Scott serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Compression Works. His leadership experience in the medical device industry includes the global trauma, EMS, the US Military and International military/first responder market segments. Scott has extensive experience with M&A and the private equity market which will support Compression Works’ strategic growth initiatives. Prior to joining Compression Works, Scott was the Vice President of Sales for Military/Tactical/Global Distribution & Urology within the Anesthesiology and Emergency Medicine Business Unit at Teleflex, a multi-billion-dollar global medical device company. Scott also served as the Global Vice President for Military/Tactical Programs at ZMedica LLC which was acquired by Teleflex. He has over 16 years of increasing levels of responsibility in the trauma, military, pre-hospital, tactical, law enforcement, international military business management and market development segments for medical devices. Scott served for 8 years in the US Army as a Combat Arms Officer and achieved the rank of Captain with multiple deployments, including Iraq in 2003 and Bosnia. He graduated from Texas A&M University as a Distinguished Military Graduate, with a B.S. in Political Science and an MBA from University of Texas-Arlington.
