Our Mission
COMPRESSION WORKS

To give every responder, medic, and clinician the best possible chance against the bleeding emergencies that have historically had no answer — until now."

Our Heritage

Built from operational experience. Refined for modern hemorrhage control.

Compression Works was founded by clinicians with backgrounds in emergency medicine, military operations, and transport care who recognized a critical gap in hemorrhage control — particularly for severe abdominal bleeding where conventional extremity and junctional tourniquets were ineffective.

While serving in combat environments, Dr. John Croushorn relied on manual abdominal aortic compression techniques to temporarily slow catastrophic hemorrhage during evacuation and prolonged transport. Those experiences helped drive the development of a stabilized external solution designed to bring controlled abdominal aortic compression into the field in a more practical and transportable form.

Today, the AAJT-S is FDA-cleared for four application sites: the abdomen (equivalent to Zone 3 REBOA), axilla, inguinal area, and pelvic fracture stabilization. Backed by more than 70 peer-reviewed publications and deployed across more than 20 countries, the AAJT-S supports military, prehospital, and hospital teams managing some of the most challenging hemorrhage scenarios in medicine.
